Summary: Deidra, the valedictorian high-school senior, and her younger sister Laney, the forgotten girl, are in trouble: their mother just got sent to jail. With their father out of the picture, the girls need to find a way to make money to pay off their mother’s bail and support their family. Their solution? Rob trains.
Appeal: This is a fantastic movie for all ages. It appeals to teens who are worried about going to college, girls who don’t think they’re enough (Laney, who lives in her older sister’s shadow, winds up in a Miss Teen Idaho pageant in the movie), and people who want to watch two teenage girls work hard for their family.
